1、檢查種公兔，創(chuàng)造適宜的環(huán)境。配種前要對種公兔進(jìn)行檢查，凡體弱、發(fā)育較差、有病以及有血緣關(guān)系的公兔，都不能交配。有條件的地方還應(yīng)對種公兔進(jìn)行精液品質(zhì)檢查。確定了公兔后，將公兔籠中的食具全部移出，并在籠底墊一塊大木板，以免兔爪夾入籠縫中扭傷。
